Board Members

Alain Cousineau - Chair, Board of Directors

CousineauAlain Cousineau is a seasoned senior executive with over 25 years of board experience. Mr. Cousineau formerly held positions as President and CEO of Loto-Québec and Groupe Secor. He is also a former Chair of Tourisme Montréal and Société des alcools du Québec. Prior to that he had a distinguished career in the academic field, primarily at the Université de Sherbrooke School of Business. Mr. Cousineau has also held board positions in a diverse range of industries including the healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceutical industries, aeronautics and electronic business solutions. Mr. Cousineau has extensive consulting experience in marketing and communications and corporate planning and strategy.

Cheryl Barker - Chair, Audit Committee

BarkerMs. Barker, a Chartered Accountant, is a former President of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. (MTS). While at MTS, she also held the positions of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Currently, she serves on the Public Sector Pension Investment Board as former Interim Chair. Previously, she served on the boards of the Canadian Television Fund, the Manitoba Film and Sound Recording Development Corporation (Chair), and various other corporate and community organizations.

Glenn Wong - Chair, Governance and Human Resources Committee

WongMr. Wong is an executive management consultant and former President of Electronic Arts Canada and Rogers Cable TV (BC). Based in Vancouver, Mr. Wong currently serves on the board of Coast Capital Savings Credit Union and LIFT Philanthropy Partners. His past board roles have included the E-comm Emergency Communications for Southwestern British Columbia Inc., the Vancouver Police Board where he was Vice-Chair, Copper Leaf Technologies Inc., the BC Cancer Foundation and the Insurance Corporation of B.C. He is a certified corporate director and member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and World Presidents Organization.

Alison Clayton

ClaytonMs. Clayton is an independent television and film consultant with multiple Gemini Award credits. Highlights from her career include serving as General Manager of the Biography Channel, Vice President of Programming for The Movie Network, Moviepix, and The Family Channel, and Senior Film Policy Advisor for the former Federal Department of Communications. She has served on the Ottawa Art Gallery Art Auction Committee and the boards of the Rogers Documentary Fund, the Alliance for Children and Television, and the Canadian Television Fund.

Guy Fournier

FournierMr. Fournier is an author, playwright, story editor, film producer, and screenwriter, with more than 300 television dramas to his credit. He was a founding member and President of the Institut québécois du cinéma and served as National Vice President of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television. He has served on the boards of Les Productions du Verseau, Télévision Quatre-Saisons, Télé-Québec, and CBC/Radio-Canada. He is currently serving on the board of Le Théâtre du Rideau Vert and La Fondation Jeanne-Mance. He is a member of the Order of Canada. 

David McLennan

David McLennanDavid McLennan joined Sierra Wireless in 2004 as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. Prior to that, David spent approximately 10 years in a variety of senior management positions within the BCE group of companies. He served with Bell Canada as Chief Financial Officer and with Bell ExpressVu initially as Chief Financial Officer and subsequently as President and Chief Operating Officer. Earlier in his career he spent a number of years in the investment business as a research analyst at Nesbitt Thomson.

Rob Scarth

Rob ScarthRob Scarth has over 20 years of experience in policy development, regulatory affairs and business consulting with executive level skills in policy & strategic planning, business planning, negotiation, and market analysis. He has been Director, Regulatory Affairs at the CBC; Vice President, Television for the Canadian Association of Broadcasters; and a consultant providing strategic, market and economic analysis for Nordicity Group Ltd as well as several other organizations in the Canadian entertainment and media sector.
